What’s in store for InByTheEye in 2012?

Lots! The first half of the year is going to be insane but very exciting. Everything from Russian folktales to the French Revolution to giant Krakens! I’m very excited about the creative group I’ll be working with, and very grateful to those supporting the productions and making this all possible. Most of this will be completed by mid-summer, so as you can so we’ll be very busy!
(some of these are working titles)
SRN: The Signal continues in 2012. Our first b’cast of the year will be in February. Come get shipwrecked!
Xibalba – my animated shadow puppet film with Connie Toebe, inspired by La Llorona (the Mexican legend of the Weeping Woman.) Currently in pre-production, production slated for May-ish, premieres in October. And we have the fantasy author, Patrick Rothfuss creating a character that shows up in the Underworld. The project participated in the auction Magik4Terri which benefited the wonderful mythic artist Terri Windling.
The Red Knight – I’ll be directing a play based on the Russian folktale “Vasillisa the Beautiful” and set against the backdrop of WWII. Early May.
Cinemagraph Film – always looking for ways to tell my story. This is an experimental film in the same vain as Scherherazade, just a little video from the house of Lisa. Working on it now, will put it up soon.
The Jules Verne Project – I’ll be directing this hilarious, mash up, silent short film: The Blair Witch Project meets Jules Verne. Production is scheduled for April in Florida. Will premiere at Clockwork Alchemy in San Jose, CA in May.
Faerie Escape – Thrilled to be a part of the organizing committee for this Con in June. I’ll be bringing some well-known mythic characters to life in a very unique way for the attendees and honorees.
Marie Antoinette & the Ring – a crazy writing project about the French Revolution. Best part – the story, not yet written, will be inspired by women artists who are sending me their sketches of the infamous queen. They are busy drawing right now. I do my part in August.
Alice and the Executioner – my next book. Will be writing on this…until it’s done. Sometime in 2012.
TITANIA – always on my mind and exciting news will hit the boards toward the Fall. Stay tuned!
